These guys are hands down the BEST tattoo & piercing place in Las Vegas. The shop owner and main artist “Texas” was one of the coolest dudes I ever met, and a wizard with the needles. I was a little scared about getting a tattoo but he made me feel at ease, was very professional and friendly and the tattoo came out looking BEAUTIFUL, and it didn’t even hurt. Then I got piercings from their new guy Danny who was just as awesome. well, the job market is tough out there, and I passed all the tests to become a cab driver, so I’m working a couple of shifts a week for ANLV cab. I am still in a 30 day probationary period. I hope that business picks up like they say it will at and after new years, because I worked two twelve hour shifts and only made about $50 for that time. Despite the dismal earnings, I think I like it so far, but whether or not I’ll be able to pay my rent with it remains to be seen.

Well there are some job prospects on the horizon. I passed the drug test for the cab company, and they scheduled me for my driving test this coming Monday, so if all goes well I will be a vegas cab driver soon. Not sure that’s a great career, but could be interesting. One of my buddies who works for another lab here in town is trying to get me in with him over there, that would be very cool, but whatever happens i would like to have insurance again soon.

A wise man once told me that “There is no such thing as a short-cut, the closest thing to a short-cut that does exist is: don’t make too many mistakes”, It sounded really cynical to me at first, but now I understand it, and truer words were never spoken.

well, Judo is hard, but it’s good for me. I am still having trouble with asthma, it’s getting in the way of completing class. Also, am not moving at the end of this month as mentioned before.

I will be moving this month, to the north-west part of Vegas called Centennial Hills. Postings and responses may drop off a little while I am in transition, but will resume shortly.

I was laid off today, that was pretty hard for me, but I actually suspect it may have been a little harder for my boss, which was why I felt it was best to exit the situation with grace. In all honesty, it couldn’t have come at a better time, it’s time for changes, and now the fire under my ass has been lit. I hope to be able to post here soon about new successes in writing and programming and personal growth. Let’s see what happens…
